Always measure at plant height - not on the tent floor or ceiling. Use at least two sensors: one at the top and one at canopy height. Avoid direct light on the sensor. Use smart thermometers with logging. For advanced users: combine temperature measurement with humidity (VPD). Watch out for rapid temperature jumps - they can indicate incorrect regulation. You can only optimise control if the measured values are correct.
Sensors should be positioned at the crown level of the plants to accurately measure the temperature in the growth zone.
Direct lighting can skew temperature readings, as the heat from the lamps can cause the sensors to display higher values.
It is recommended to use at least two measurement points to detect temperature differences within the grow room and obtain more accurate readings.
