Rock wool as a hydroponic substrate
Reduce Rockwool pH value: Soak in pH 5.5 solution for 24 hours. Never allow to dry out completely, avoid waterlogging. Seedlings: small cubes, vegetative: medium blocks, flowering: large mats. Note EC buffer - Rockwool stores nutrients. Disposal problematic - not compostable, hazardous waste.
