Microscopic analysis for perfect timing
Trichome stages: clear (too early), milky-cloudy (optimal), amber (late harvest). 10-30% amber for relaxing effect, 5-15% for energising effect. Use a Jeweler's loupe (60x) or digital microscope. Different parts of the plant ripen differently - top colas first. Check daily in the last 2 weeks.
