Recognising and correcting Ca-Mg deficits
Ca:Mg ratio 3:1 to 5:1 optimal. Calcium deficiency: brown spots, necrotic areas, weak cell walls. Magnesium deficiency: chlorosis between leaf veins, starting on older leaves. Treatment: CalMag supplement, pH 6.0-6.5 for optimum uptake. Avoid lockout due to too high EC or incorrect pH.
