Adult fungus gnats are harmless, larvae feed on roots. Prevention: Allow top layer of soil to dry, sand mulch, yellow traps. Control: Water with Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (BTI), use nematodes (Steinernema feltiae). Water management is crucial - avoid waterlogging. Pot quarantine for new acquisitions.
